The best day of your life, captured as it happens

cAPTURING MOMENTS AS THEY HAPPEN

Documentary-Style

My style of photography is what’s most commonly referred to as ‘documentary-style’. Simply put, it just means that I want to capture as many candid moments from your day as I can!

I look for all those stolen glances, the jokes told by guests, the beautiful intimate moments that can’t be created through posing.

While I may have some location suggestions or pose prompts during the couples portraits or the guest shots, I try to keep these to a minimum. This helps my couples to feel less awkward, and it allows for me to capture the most sincere and real moments from the day. A win for all of us!

Have your day your way

Being able to personalise your own wedding day and have it look exactly as you dream is really important. Because of this, the packages I offer can all be tailored to suit the couples’ individual needs. Are you not interested in bridal prep, but want to capture more of the evening party? Or maybe you have a special event planned that you want to work in. Not a problem! I always work to accommodate any and all requests from my couples in order to make their day truly special.

I also find it important that I get to know my couples a bit beforehand. I will be spending a lot of time with you on one of the biggest days of your life, so you want to make sure we get along first! That is why I offer all my couples a coffee or zoom meetup before booking in. I find it helps to get to know eachother better, but it also helps to discuss exactly what you are hoping for on the day.

FAQ

I usually cover this in the pre-booking meeting. I want to make sure I can definitely provide all the shots the couple are after, so we talk about these photo expectations before booking in. I also send a detailed questionnaire ahead of the day, where couples can list specific shots or family members that they don’t want to get missed!

The length of time I am at a wedding depends on the package the couple have chosen. This sis generally anywhere from just ceremony to 10+ hours. Timing will be discussed beforehand, so you will have plenty of notice about the timeline of the day.

As a wedding photographer, I have connections to many others in the business. If I am unable to attend due to illness or any other unexpected event, I will let you know as soon as possible and I will arrange cover myself. This will also be a photographer with a shooting style as similar to mine as possible, so you will still receive the wedding photos you wanted. You will not have to worry about finding someone on your own!

I always aim to deliver client galleries as soon as possible! For short engagement or pre wedding sessions, these are usually delivered within a week. For weddings, I always give my couples a ‘sneak peek’ the day after so they can see some of their photos! But the full galleries are usually ready around 4 weeks after the day

I will always tell my couple ahead of time my estimated arrival for the day, but as a general rule I try to be 30 minutes early. That usually means either 30 minutes earlier than the ceremony or 30 minutes before my expected arrival to bridal prep. This allows me some leeway incase of traffic/emergencies and means I will always be on time!

The short answer for this is yes! But really it is up to you and what you want for the day. I am generally happy for anyone else to be taking pictures, as long as they are not interfering with any of my shots. This just means no standing in front of me while I’m trying to get that first kiss!
