In Scottish Gaelic, ‘sonas’ is the word for happiness. And that is exactly what weddings are! Pure, unadulterated happiness. So when I decided I wanted to help couples capture precious moments of happiness from their wedding day, I couldn’t think of a more fitting name!
If you hadn’t already guessed, I am a proud Scots woman who loves a camera! From a young age I was interested in photography, and I originally started as a landscape photographer. I fell in love with the Scottish landscape and can’t help but snap a few shots whenever I’m out exploring.
I discovered my passion for weddings when planning my own. I had such a great experience and such wonderful memories of the day, I knew I wanted to help capture that for others. I just love being around the pure joy that is a wedding day, and capturing all the candid moments. This ranges from private romantic moments between the couple, to crazy antics from the guests!
Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life, so I know that you want pictures and memories that will last for generations. My goal is always to savour those memories in the form of my pictures.
I understand, weddings can be very expensive, since I planned my own not long ago! Because of this, I offer several different packages that aim to fit all types of budgets. These range from only ceremony and portrait shots all the way up to full day coverage with prep, dancing, and a pre- or post- wedding shoot.
While I have my own artistic ideas, I’m always open to any suggestions the couples have, or any TikTok trends they want to try! I’m also a keen elopement photographer and planner, and I have great insight into the best spots in Scotland to get those epic elopement shots.
